Week 11! The dry spell of no quizzes finally came to an end this week. We had a pre-announced SCM (Strategic Cost Management) quiz on Monday, followed by a surprise (FM) Financial Management quiz on Tuesday. One would assume this to be like a walk in the park for CAs. But honestly, for me, it was anything but that.

Just when you think IIM-A has thrown all it can at you in a single week, it surprises you in the most IIM-A way possible, a surprise mid-term. Yes, a surprise mid-term exams. Who even does that?

Thankfully, the cohort pushed back a little and managed to get it postponed to next week. Had that not happened, I would’ve had to cancel my weekend plans that I had been looking forward to for days!

Before we get to the weekend, a couple of quick updates. Although it's yet to be officially announced, I’ve been selected as the Marketing Core Team Lead for The Red Brick Summit. Yay! (slightly nervous, but excited nonetheless!)

Also, I had my “The PGPX Voice” photoshoot this Friday. This is for a feature article that’ll be going up on the official LinkedIn page next week. Stay tuned—I’ll be sharing the link in my next blog.

Now for the weekend. I headed back home to spend a couple of quiet days with family. Left Ahmedabad on Friday afternoon and returned on Sunday evening. While my previous visit to Mumbai was all about roaming around, meeting people and partying, the agenda this time was simple, sit on the couch, sip cold brew, and binge-watch. Just pausing for a moment and reminding myself what home feels like.

As grateful as I am for the wonderful friends I have on campus, sometimes you just crave the company of familiar faces. And this visit did exactly that, hit reset. I came back recharged and ready to take on whatever madness the coming weeks throw at me.

Speaking of next week—there’s a lot coming up. My feature goes live on LinkedIn, the TRBS team announcements, and of course, a mid-term. But I guess, after a peaceful weekend at home, I’m ready for it all.
